NOSTALGIC SIGN ART

A friend of mine was building a log cabin and wanted to fill the walls with "up north signs".  He was unable to find just what he was looking for, so he commissioned me to make over 100 antique looking signs.

I made up signs from factitious taverns, towns, general stores, lodges, and resorts not to mention a beauty salon.  The names chosen were the names of family and friends, often poking fun at them through the message within the signs.  For example, "Sally's Beauty Salon-We buy deer hides",  and Leo's Bait and Tackle Shop".

The signs were so well received, and I had so much fun making them I decided to make a few for sale.  Some are distressed and have the illusion of age while some are bright and fresh.  The signs are not actually places or businesses (as far as I know), just figments of my imagination.  I do accept some requests for personalized signs. They make great gifts for that special someone.
